Car history: |
This car has been sitting for about two years. We installed a new battery and fresh gas and it fired right up. It starts, runs, shifts through the gears and stops. Since it has been sitting I would however suggest that the car be trailered away. Original custom 1970's - 80's Street Machine 1971 Chevy C3 Corvette Stingray hardtop with T-tops. This is a rare LS5 matching serial numbers 454 cubic inch 365 horsepower Big Block / Automatic transmission car. The block casting number is: 3968512. (please see photos for matching serial numbers). This Corvette was built in April 1971 and was originally Ontario Orange (paint code 987) with a black leather interior. It has been painted a couple of times and has fender flares. The paint is old and has the typical scratches and chips. The drivers door power window does not work and the interior of the car is old and will need some clean up work. The vacuum operated headlight assemblies do not work either. This is a power steering / power brakes / A/C car. The A/C does not work. The car has cool header /sidepipe assemblies which sound great but the drivers side is rusted out and has partially come loose from one of it's mounting brackets. It leaks and rattles (listen for it in the video). It has some new front suspension parts and KYB shocks all the way around. It also has very nice vintage aluminum 15 inch wheels. Comes with a clear New York transferable registration / title. No bid at starting $12,500 on February 19, 2017. |
